Exchange and Mobility Team – International office

Many people in the University may not be aware that there is now an Exchange and Mobility Team based in the International office. We were formed in 2012 in response to the growing demand for UK Institutions to place more importance on our students experiencing a period of exchange as part of their degree.  We are available to answer any questions from students and staff on any exchange related issues.

The team’s focus is to help support faculties and students in their pursuit to study a portion of their degree at one of our partner institutions within Europe and in the rest of the world.  We will also act as the main point of contact for our partner institutions when nominating their students to study at Southampton.

It is also worth noting that there are many opportunities for staff to have an overseas experience whether on a training course or as a guest lecturer.  This can all be funded by Erasmus and is an excellent personal development experience.

The team is part of the Strategic Development and Mobility Team which is headed up by Jo Nesbitt, Deputy Director of the International Office. Ruth Law is the Exchange and Mobility Manager, Betty Draper and Eleonora Gandolfi deal with the outgoing and incoming applications and enquiries for Erasmus and Cleome Dakin supports exchange programmes outside of Europe.

Should you wish to know more about the opportunities available to staff and students please take some time to look at our website   southampton.likn.co/studyexchange  or email us at [email protected]  for any Erasmus enquiries and [email protected]  for any international enquiries.
