Information to help with student questions about studying outside their main discipline

You can now find information to share with your students about studying an interdisciplinary module or Minor subject on the revamped Curriculum Innovation site – southampton.likn.co/cip

The new site has information for staff and students and provides details of who can study what, as different programmes allow their students to make different choices.

You can see what previous years’ students thought of the interdisciplinary modules and how module leaders and teachers have benefited from being involved. There are also plenty of FAQs to help you in answering your own and your students’ questions about their options.

If you work in Humanities, Social Sciences, Geography or Education, many of your first-year students will also have the opportunity to study for a Minor subject alongside their main degree. They won’t need to make their choice until later in Semester one, but you can find information to answer their initial questions on the site.

If you have any questions that are not answered by the site, please speak to your Director of Programmes or contact [email protected]
