Students design a comeptition which makes the final four of The National Enterprise Educator Awards

student competition A team of students collaborated with staff at The Centre for Learning Anatomical Sciences to design and implement an annual National Undergraduate Neuroanatomy Competition.

The team had originally set up a near-peer teaching program to help Southampton medics learn this challenging topic, but felt more could be done to enable students from all UK institutions to demonstrate the kind of commitment to this speciality that could eventually help with their careers.

Setting up the competition was an innovative venture which captured the imagination of the judges at The National Enterprise Educator Awards 2013, an annual award established and run by Enterprise Educators UK which showcases excellence in enterprise and entrepreneurship.

The competition made the final four shortlist in the ‘enterprise champions’ category. Student members of the organising committee are Sam Hall, Jonny Stephens, Teu Gesteira Andrade, Andrew Lowry, Elizabeth Emsley, Elizabeth Casselden and Joe Davids. Scott Border from the Centre of Learning Anatomical Sciences represented the faculty.
