A team of six medics from the University of Southampton is training for the New York Marathon with the aim of raising £100,000 to support a Cancer Research UK project. This research will unravel the genetic code of one of the most deadly of all cancers, oesophageal cancer, and lay the foundations for personalised cancer medicine in the NHS.
