Where’s Don? – The Vice-Chancellor’s diary from Monday 21 October

Here is your snap-shot of the Vice-Chancellor’s diary over the week. We hope this will provide an insight into the working life of the Vice-Chancellor, both in and around the University and representing the institution externally.

On Monday, Don visited Qinetiq in Farnborough to meet the Chief Executive Leo Quinn, and discuss areas of technological collaboration.

Tuesday sees Don visit GCHQ in Cheltenham, a long standing invitation following the University becoming one of the eight UK Centres of Excellence for Cybersecurity, followed by a dinner of the Southampton Asset Management Board in the evening.

On Wednesday Don is signing a strategic agreement with Shell, who are sending a major delegation to the University, before joining the Senior Leadership Development Programme meeting in the afternoon.

On Thursday and Friday, Don has an introductory meeting with the new V-C of the University of Portsmouth, Graham Galbraith, and a telephone call with Duncan Wingham, Chief Executive of NERC, along with a series of internal meetings.
