In collaboration with the British Academy of Management, the School of Management invite staff to attend this interesting one day workshop on Leadership and Performance Management.
This workshop will create a chance for academics and practitioners to meet and exchange their ideas and understanding about the positive/negative/zero impact of leadership on performance.
Commencing at 9.30am in Room 1019 Building 58a, Highfield Campus, Professor Malcolm Higgs, Head of School of Management will be a keynote speaker presenting his outstanding research on leadership.
The workshop will also be contributed by speakers from various universities, including Andrew Steward (Portsmouth University) sharing his career in the Royal Navy, Rebecca Malby (Director of the Centre for Innovation in Health Management) presenting how to lead social value in Health programmes, Dr Fabian Homberg (Bournemouth University) and Dr Hong Bui (University of Southampton) presenting their recent study on the neutral relationship between top management team diversity and performance, and Dr Luisa Huaccho Huatuco (University of Leeds) reflecting on the performance metrics and leadership in industry. There will be a social network event after the workshop at 16.30.
