‘Brown Bag Lunch’: Reducing Bureaucracy – Wednesday, 20 November

Tessa HarrisonUniversity Registrar Tessa Harrison will host the second informal lunch session on Wednesday, 20 November from 13:00 – 14.00 in Building 58, Room 1007 (Murray Lecture Room C).

Following the success of our first monthly session in October, the next get together will focus on ‘Reducing Bureaucracy’ to encourage our academic and professional services colleagues to bring their ideas and input to help develop a new staff information portal.

Over the summer, we asked the academic community for their top 5 bureaucratic headaches. Amongst the many responses we received one of the main issues our colleagues put at the top of their ‘wish’ lists was a one-stop shop for information they need about the University’s services. As a result of that feedback, we have been doing some background work with i-Solutions and created a skeleton framework which we’re ready to share with colleagues as we want the University community to help design a framework that works for them and build a tab on SUSSED.

No registration is necessary, just turn up on the day.  Refreshments will be provided, but staff will need to bring their own lunches.

Please let all your colleagues know about this lunch on 20 November. This is one of a series of informal lunchtime sessions for all over the coming months, to bring colleagues together to provide space for us to hear about and debate issues of shared interest and concern.
