As part of the Music Department’s Lunchtime Concert Series, you are invited to ‘Thank Heaven’s it’s Friday’ on Friday 10 January at Turner Sims.
Masters conductor, Kevin Withell, will be running an experiment to see whether a room full of people with a very mixed ability of singing and performing can come together after just 30 minutes of rehearsal to create a memorable performance of Haydn’s ‘The Heavens Are Telling’.
The audience will be the performers. It doesn’t matter whether you sing, play or just secretly mime. It doesn’t matter if you know the music, love it, hate it or have never even heard of Haydn. We hope many will just turn up for the experience, because there may never be anything else quite like it!
This event is free and requires no booking – so come along between 1 – 1:50pm.
