We are pleased to announce the next CITE Lunchtime System Seminar: Lynda.com. At the end of last year, the University bought a two year campus licence to the thousands of videos in the Lynda.com online library. This seminar will start to introduce the range of content provided by Lynda.com, key functionality and how this could apply to our environment(s).
Lynda.com isn’t, however, completely new to the organisation – students at WSA have been using it since 2011. The session will look at their experience and how having access to this resource has supported their teaching and been included in the curriculum.
We hope this session will be useful in exploring how this resource can help the University in its mission – and, importantly, how we will be able to assess its value.
The session will be hosted by:
Nic Monks – iSolutions IT Training and Development, Jon Lightfoot – iSolutions IT Training and Development and Adam Procter – Winchester School of Art.
Date and time: Tuesday 14 January 12:30-2:00
Location: Building 32/3077
Light lunch will be provided.
All welcome. Feel free to share this announcement to other mailing lists and colleagues who you think would be interested. Please email: Anne Bell, [email protected], to notify your intention to attend, for an idea of numbers.
You can explore the resources which are available to everyone across the University (students and staff) for yourself at: www.lynda.com
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at this event hosted by CITE.
