In order to maintain the safety of staff and students the West Side* buildings of WSA will remain closed today (Friday 7 February) and over the weekend. The WSA East Side buildings will remain open and operational.
The WSA Campus is being carefully monitored to assess the flood risk and further updates will be posted on Sussed. If a decision is made to close the whole site at the beginning of the day this will be posted on Sussed by 7am and local media will be informed as appropriate.
STUDENTS
The West Side* building will remain closed today (Friday 7 February) and over the weekend.
The following alternative arrangements for teaching have been emailed to you:
Friday: The King Alfred Conference Chamber in Winchester Guildhall has been booked 1200-1600 for lectures which were booked in Lecture Theatre A
Monday: Lectures and Seminars which were booked in Seminar room 3 and Lecture Theatre A have been rescheduled in alternative rooms on the Winchester campus and the Winchester Guildhall booked 0900-1900.
Tuesday: : Lectures and Seminars which were booked in Seminar room 3 and Lecture Theatre A have been rescheduled in alternative rooms on the Winchester campus and the Winchester Guildhall booked 0900-1700.
It has not been possible, at present, to make alternative arrangements for teaching in Studios and Mac Suite 2. Please check your emails for updates.
If it is not essential for you to enter campus, please stay away. If you are on campus, please be extremely careful as you walk between buildings, the flood water hides uneven surfaces.
Halls of Residence – there are no flood warnings for the Erasmus Park and they are operating as normal.
STAFF
The West Side building will remain closed today (Friday 7 February) and over the weekend. If buildings are to remain closed next week, we will notify you directly of alternative arrangements.
Staff should be instructed by their line manager and in some cases may be asked to work at alternative sites.
