This month Sport and Wellbeing celebrated the 10th Anniversary of the Jubilee Sports Centre.
On 18 February 2004 the Centre was opened by Richard Caborn, the then Minister for Sport and Tourism and Labour MP for Sheffield Central.
The £8.5 million state-of-the-art complex has grown from a small percentage of the University holding membership to a hive of activity, hosting fitness classes of 200 members weekly with thousands of people from a variety of backgrounds using its vast array of facilities.
As the years have gone by, the Centre has developed to provide a lively variety of fitness classes, courses, training sessions in and out the pool, as well as hosting the annual Intra Mural league throughout our facilities. Through our expanding services Sport and Wellbeing has also supported generations of athletes as they have grown within their sport.
On Tuesday 18 February the centre held a price draw for all who entered the facility on its 10th Anniversary.
The prizes were:
• A Water Walkerz Pool Party
• A Commando Run Pool Party
• A Watersports course
• 1 PT Session

• 1 Swim Assessment
• 1 Swim Programme
• A Swim Card
