We are pleased to announce the next CITE Lunchtime System Seminar: How can the research into student engagement change your practice?  The start of a conversation.

Presenters:  Dr Kelly Wakefield, Senior Research Assistant, Centre for Innovation and Leadership in Health Sciences and Dr Julie Wintrup, Principal Teaching Fellow, Centre for Innovation and Leadership in Health Sciences.

In this seminar we will take you through some of the more traditional ways of understanding student engagement and we will then explore it through our own research.  We are interested in how the research into student engagement can improve our practice.

This session looks at student engagement through research into:

•             Inter-disciplinary modules with an emphasis on assessment

•             Working with international students as co-researchers

•             Forms of engagement reported by MOOC learners

•             Using institutional case studies to create a dynamic of engagement

Date: Thursday 13 March 12:30-2:00

Location: Building 85/2207

Light lunch will be provided.

All welcome.  Feel free to share this announcement to mailing lists and colleagues who you think would be interested.
