The University has completed its Equality Impact Assessment of the REF 2014 process, which is now available on the Diversity website.
All institutions submitting to REF 2014 were required to conduct an Equality Impact Assessment (EIA) on their policy and procedures for selecting staff for the REF. The EIAs will be used by the higher education funding councils to help evaluate the overall effectiveness of the equality and diversity aspects of the REF at sector level, and identify lessons learned for the future.
Now available on the Diversity website southampton.likn.co/diversity/news/2014/03/03_ref_eia_published.page? the University’s EIA includes an analysis of data comparing the characteristics of staff selected for submission and those of all eligible staff. A comparison of the University’s submission with key metrics at sector level is also included.
