This month we will hear from Dr Jon Copley. Jon will discuss his efforts to engage the public and the media in his work as an oceanographer and Britain’s deepest diver in a manned submersible!
As a frequent blogger and interviewee, Jon will focus on the benefits of public engagement – both tangible and reputational – and share ways in which others can also benefit by communicating their work with a wider audience including the recently launched MOOC ‘Exploring our Oceans’.
He will also take questions about his research and public engagement activities.
Staff and students are welcome.
