The University officially opens its new Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Centre on Monday 31 March.
Scientists from Chemistry and Biological Sciences are working together at the facility on cutting-edge research into how magnetic resonance can treat patients and develop new materials.
This unique and highly interdisciplinary centre will work with new concepts, instrumentation and applications in magnetic resonance – a unique, powerful and very versatile way to investigate molecules and materials as well as imaging humans, creating break-through insights in the material and life sciences as well as in medical treatment.
The University will celebrate significant investment from research councils and charities in new instrumentation and infrastructure with a day of accessible scientific talks and tours of the Centre.
