iSolutions are planning an upgrade of the Equitrac service.
Equitrac is the element of the Managed Print Service which manages the charging for staff and student printing. This upgrade is needed to introduce additional features that will support staff and students in managing their printing costs, as well as fixing a number of previously identified issues.
We have considered a number of options to achieve the upgrade, with the best option unfortunately requiring a full day’s downtime of the entire Managed Print Service to deliver it. This is because the process for re-initialising the service requires manual intervention at the devices themselves as well as concurrent back-end synchronisations.
The actual date of the downtime period is still to be established, however, we are actively seeking to understand and accommodate critical University requirements. Once the planned date is known, we will issue further notices so that all staff and students are aware and can make alternative arrangements.
