One of the biggest challenges Academic Departments face today is the broken feedback loop between students, course reps and staff. This has led to disengaged students and can affect student satisfaction.
Unitu, a project set up by students, powerfully closes the feedback loop between staff, course representatives and students within their academic departments. Using Chapter B5 on student engagement by The QAA as a framework, this particular system provides an effective way for staff to listen, learn and engage with students concerns. It aims to increase student engagement, enhance transparency of how issues are resolved and ensure the learning experience is continuously improved.

Presentation:
As students and recent graduates, for the past two years we have been talking to students, course reps and staff from different UK Universities about the challenges they face in regards to their feedback systems. We will be presenting our findings, best practices, potential consequences of an ineffective feedback system and how we aim to close the feedback loop.
About Unitu:
Inspired by our own experiences at University, the project aims to enhance the student-staff experience through innovative software. We want to help create a community of trust and transparency between students and staff, whereby representative feedback is continuously given to improve the academic experience.
