Date: Thursday, 10 July
Venue: 53/4025A (Mountbatten)
Time: 12:30 – 14:00. A light lunch will be provided from 12:30. The 30-minute presentation will start at 13:00 followed by discussion until 14:00.
Abstract:
Using Twitter and Storify in Large Lectures
As an additional avenue through which students can interact in large lectures, we have introduced the use of Twitter to allow students to ask questions in lectures. To capture the resulting Tweets and to allow additional scope for the expansion of the verbal answers given in lectures and the presentation of additional material, we demonstrate the use of Storify. We will go through the examples arising from MATH3033 Graph Theory in semester 1 and MATH1051 Calculus II in the current semester.
