We will be upgrading an important part of the Managed Print Service between 18:00 on Friday 11 July and 11:59 on Monday 14 July.
The service will be unavailable for some or all of this time. To minimise the delay to returning devices to service we ask that staff leave ALL printers switched on when they leave the University at the end of the day on Friday 11 July.
This upgrade is required to introduce additional features that will support staff and students in managing their printing costs, as well as fixing a number of previously identified issues.
The period of downtime is necessary as the upgrade requires physical intervention for each Multi-function Device (MFD) as well as concurrent back-end synchronisations. Therefore, until this has been completed you will not be able to print, copy or scan on any MFD or printer which is part of the Managed Print Service.
Please note: Once the upgrade has completed and your local MFD has been reset, you will be able to start using the service immediately. For example, if an MFD is reset on Saturday morning, then there is no need to wait until Monday to use the service.
If you are experiencing any problems relating to printing please make sure you have restarted your computer and tried again before contacting ServiceLine. This advice also applies to desktop printers.
