Dave Williams

DWilliamsIt is with sorrow that we announce the recent sad passing of Dave Williams 49, who was employed as a Painter and Decorator in Estates and Facilities.  Dave started his career as an indentured apprentice Painter and Decorator at a traditional local Southampton building company called Hammonds.  After gaining many years of experience, he started working for the University in September 2009.  He very quickly established a reputation for diligence and hard work amongst University staff and colleagues.  His energy was infectious and anybody that was fortunate enough to meet Dave would have been left with an impression of a passionate man totally dedicated to whatever task was in hand.  He will be sorely missed.

There will be a service held to mark Dave’s life which will  take place Wednesday 24  September at 11.00am, St Alban’s Church, Tulip Road, Southampton, SO16 3BB, followed by the Interment at Hollybrook Cemetery, Tremona Road, Shirley, Southampton SO16 6HW.  A wake will follow at The Saints Pub, Kendal Avenue, Millbrook, Southampton, SO16 9LP.

Dress code to be traditional black with a splash of red in recognition of Dave’s passion for Liverpool FC.

Dave’s family have asked for any donations in his name to be made to a charity for epilepsy.  If you would like to make a donation please contact Jason Wyatt either via email [email protected] or ex #24034 for further details.
