Professor Roger Ingham, Director of the Centre for Sexual Research, is travelling to Bangkok this week to help launch Thailand’s first ever national sexual health strategy.
His itinerary includes meeting with 60 leading government officials in health and development, a keynote address to 2400 delegates at the official launch, sessions with researchers and funders on future priorities, and a 30 minute television show on a channel watched by over 22 million people.
“It is a great honour to be asked by the Thai Government to help with this important work”, said Roger, who has been invited due to his long term research involvement in the area of young people’s sexual health, as well as his twelve year advisory role for the former UK Government’s highly successful teenage pregnancy strategy.
