University staff are invited to attend the grand opening of our new astrodome, featuring planetarium shows.
Physics and Astronomy have purchased a new 6 metre astrodome after receiving funding from the Education Enhancement Fund. The new astrodome allows University PhD and undergraduate students to travel to local schools and colleges to perform planetarium shows.
At this launch event, the Vice Chancellor will officially open the new dome and present the current astrodome presenter team with awards. The opening speech and awards will then be followed by planetarium shows for University staff and members of the public.
