Confucius Institute Tai chi and Qigong workshop

Students and staff are invited to attend a workshop on Tai chi and Qigong. 

tai chiRecent studies suggest that just 15 minutes of the moderate exercise a day can lead to a longer life by three years. Tai chi combines deep breathing and relaxation with slow and gentle movements. Originally developed as a martial art in 13th-century China, tai chi is today practised around the world as an exercise to promote their health and inner-tranquillity by releasing the natural energy of their bodies.

Instructor Bai Li, became coach of the National Chinese Martial Arts Jang Su team, remaining with them for fourteen years. Many of her students have become accomplished Martial Artists. One of her most talented students won the Chinese National Tai Chi Competition.

Classes will take place from 1pm – 2pm each Wednesday, starting 8 October 2014 in room 1015, building 32, Highfield Campus.

There is a cost of £50 for 10 classes.
