The University has recently welcomed 10 new scholars from developing Commonwealth countries.
In 2014-15 the University will have 18 full-time Commonwealth scholars from a range of countries who are studying subjects including Biological Sciences, Education, Geography, Health Sciences, Law, Management, Medicine, Psychology and Statistics. Additionally, the University regularly hosts Commonwealth scholars on the MSc Gerontology distance learning programme.
There are three Commonwealth Scholarship schemes which are open to students wishing to study Masters and PhD programmes at UK institutions. The Commonwealth Scholarship schemes at Southampton are co-ordinated by the International Office. Both the standard Scholarship scheme and the Shared Scholarship scheme are currently open for applications for 2015 entry.
