Professor Emeritus Taylor will deliver his lecture entitled “Material and Meaning in Modern Art”, a talk about the three-way relations between material, making and meaning in one important branch of modern pictorial and sculptural art, roughly that defined by terms such as ‘construction’, ‘composition’ and ‘structure’.
Brandon Taylor is Professor Emeritus in History of Art at Southampton and Tutor in History and Theory of Art, Ruskin School of Art, University of Oxford.
