1,000 students and staff log-on to new sustainability e-learning tool

Thank you to the 1,000 staff and students who have logged on to the new sustainability e-learning tool so far.

sustainability e-learning plasmaThe University takes its commitment to sustainability and carbon reduction very seriously:

The Southampton Blackout, the Unilink bus service, carbon management infrastructure investments, record levels of recycling, the Bike Doctor, Student Switch-off, the re-opened Valley Gardens, embedding sustainability in the curriculum, the opening of the Combined Heat and Power Plant – and the list goes on!

This e-learning tool is an opportunity to quickly recap on what we’ve achieved so far, and find out what you can do next.

There are games, videos of your colleagues and friends and your chance to tell us what you think about sustainability. It will take five minutes to complete.

To get started, students and staff should visit Blackboard and:

  • Look down the ‘My Courses’ list on the right
  • Click on the course with a name like ‘SEP: Sustainability Elearning for <your faculty or professional service>’
  • This course has a single page with a few instructions and a link to ‘sustainability eLearning’ – click this link to start.

To find out more about sustainability visit the University website, email us, and follow us on Twitter.
