The elephant in the room

wellbeing

Mental health is an invisible disability – too often present and too often ignored.  Anxiety, depression and sometimes more enduring conditions can affect up to 1 in 4 of us in the course of a year.

Together, we are starting to turn this round.

Wellbeing Day is for the whole University community, both staff and students. The core focus is on understanding, managing and enhancing our mental wellbeing. But we also explore some of the many other things we can do to keep ourselves and our colleagues in better physical and mental shape, now and in the future.

Join us in Garden Court and the Hartley Suite on 4 November for a day packed with talks, walks, meditation, mindfulness, science, music and many other activities. Book your place for individual activities, or just turn up and help to shift that elephant.

You can view the activities for the day on the Wellbeing Day web pages.
