Saturday 22 November 2014, 09.30 – 17.00, Avenue Campus
A one-day festival about the sea, bringing together researchers, local cultural institutions and the public for talks, workshops, children’s activities and more.
Organised and delivered by researchers in the University of Southampton’s Faculty of Humanities, working with a number of other partners, the day is open to everyone and includes a variety of activities. As a port city, Southampton has a long history of interaction with the sea and the industries surrounding it so this event will be an opportunity for the public to learn about, and engage with, innovative humanities-based research on the sea across space and time.
This is free to attend, but we require people to register in advance through our Eventbrite page. There will also be free parking on the day at Avenue Campus.
