The joining window for the University staff voluntary dental plan is now open and will remain open until Monday 11 November 2014, for entry onto the dental plan from 1 November 2014.
This benefit provides cover to help with ever increasing costs of maintaining and restoring your dental health. There are 5 levels of cover available including NHS & private options, and you can choose a level of cover that suits you . You can also choose to add your partner and children up to the age of 21 (or 23 if in full time education) to your policy.
Key features of the dental plan include ability to use any dentist, cover for pre-existing conditions (excluding mouth cancer), immediate cover from policy inception, 100% NHS reimbursement, and worldwide cover.
New features to the dental plan include implant cover (Radiant 4 & 5 only), child orthodontic allowance, extensive A&E cover, and cover for mouth guards including Sportsguards.
You can join the plan through the HR website, which includes further information around the benefits and a link to the application form, where all costs are made clear. The cost of the plan varies from £9.50 a month (for basic individual care) to £118.50 a month (for extensive family care).
