Earlier this month, the faculty of Social and Human Sciences opened a new Student Centre for all Mathematical Sciences students.
The new facility provides a fantastic social and learning space for students to build community across the academic unit. The Student Centre features study areas, interactive whiteboards, chalkboards, a coffee area and the latest audio visual equipment.
Professor Niblo, Head of Mathematical Sciences, said: “We’re delighted with this new facility and have worked with our students to ensure it gives them what they need to study, socialise and hold both academic and social events.”
One of the first events held at the Student Centre was a Maths Quiz and Comedy evening, well attended by staff and students.
