After the shopping extravaganza of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, today is an opportunity to get involved in #GivingTuesday – a day to give back.
University staff are invited to take part in #GivingTuesday by choosing to support a good cause with a regular donation straight from your pay. On this special day, Workplace Giving UK are offering to add an additional £10 to your first donation, when you sign up with a minimum donation of £5 a month to a charity featured on the Workplace Giving UK website.
Earlier this year, we calculated that University staff are already raising over £56,000 a year for charity through Workplace Giving, and you can join them by signing up on Workplace Giving UK website.
We are also taking the opportunity on #Giving Tuesday to give thanks and recognition to the thousands of generous individuals who give to the University every year. Find out more.
In addition, students who are looking to do their bit for charity can get involved with SUSU RAG and either raise funds from others or give their own to a charity of their choosing.
