The University now provides free Travel and Personal Accident insurance for undergraduate students on course related travel, such as overseas placements, exchange, and electives.
The cover is much more comprehensive than most commercially available policies and includes:
- Emergency medical and dental costs with no financial limit
- 24 hour medical assistance helpline available
- Flights back home for holiday breaks, which are cancelled or delayed are also included in the cover
- Pre-Existing medical conditions are not excluded, provided that you are medically fit to travel
- A comprehensive range of web and telephone based travel information provided by our insurers, including a free mobile phone app
- Insurance for virtually all leisure activities, such as skiing and rock climbing, are included in the cover
