New Mathematical Sciences Student Centre hosts successful cabaret evening

The new Mathematical Sciences Student Centre was recently the host for a department wide cabaret evening.

poetry slamThe event was organised by Hattie Hall, Academic President of Mathematical Sciences, and Graham Niblo, Head of Mathematical Sciences, featuring performances from mathematicians around the UK.

The students in attendance were entertained by Matt Parker, stand up mathematician and star of the Infinite Monkey Cage on BBC Radio 4; Bristol University Maths student and Poetry Slam World Champion, Harry Baker; retired Southampton Maths lecturer and jazz pianist, Professor Ray D’Inverno, and a number of performances from talented current student.
