The University’s Operational Excellence team are inviting interested staff and students to attend a lunchtime session where you can find out more about their upcoming projects.
The team, which has recently moved into the Strategy, Planning and Analytics department, has grown over the last six months and is now able to take on a wider range of work – from one-hour training sessions, to three-day workshops. The move to Strategy, Planning and Analytics will ensure that the expertise within the team is put to use on the University’s important strategic projects, and it will also allow the team to be more proactive in identifying processes for improvement.
If you’re interested in finding out more about this work, you can attend the team’s new ‘Exploring Operational Excellence’ lunchtime sessions. The first will take place at 13:00 on 22 January 2015 in 34/4007, Highfield Campus and will be an introduction to continuous improvement, including 5 Lean principles, Kaizen and improvement cycles.
The schedule of upcoming sessions and topics can be found on the updated Operational Excellence Groupsite.
If you would like more information, you can email the team and follow @UoS_Excellence on Twitter.
