A helping hand over exams

Completing assignments and revising for examinations can be quite a stressful time for students. To help make sure that you’ve got all the help you need or know where to direct a worried student, we’ve compiled a list of support services on offer around the University. sunny library in winter

  • Your Personal Academic Tutor – your primary point of contact and will provide advice and guidance in academic work and progress.
  • Enabling Services – our expert team provides a variety of support for students with disabilities or other special needs.
  • Students’ Union Advice Centre – the team provides students with free, independent, confidential advice and representation in a friendly, relaxed environment. The Advice Centre can be found on Level 3 of Building 40 on the Highfield Campus.
  • Nightline – the listening service run by students, which operates every evening in term time from 8pm to 8am.
  • Peer Support – talk with some fellow students in person about whatever is worrying you.
  • First Support – the University service for if you ever find yourself in a crisis.
  • Residences Support Service – available to help all student residents between 18:00 and 08:00 every day of the week at all Halls of Residence sites.

If you’re using any of the University libraries late in the evening (especially the 24 hour Hartley library), make sure that you travel home safely.
