Increased study spaces across the examination period

For the examination period, the University has opened up more study spaces across halls of residence to help students find a place to work that suits you best.

The following halls common rooms and dining halls are open as study spaces across the examination period:

  • Bencraft Room G: 06:00 – midnight
  • Connaught common room: 06:00 – midnight
  • Erasmus Park common room: 06:00 – midnight
  • Gateley common room: 06:00 – midnight
  • Glen Eyre common room (above the bar): 06:00 – midnight
  • Highfield Halls (dining hall): weekdays 10:00 – 17:00 and 20:00 – midnight; weekends 14:00 – midnight
  • Mayflower B common room: 06:00 – midnight

In addition to this, the Hartley library is now open for 24 hours a day, which includes bookable group study rooms.

For students who are studying away from campus workstations, remember that you can access all your files and most pieces of software through the Southampton Virtual Environment.

In each location, tables will be set up to allow students to study a bit closer to home. Study space at halls is subject to availability and we anticipate that students will use the study spaces in their own halls. Best of luck to all students in your assignments and assessments.
