The University of Southampton has been awarded full approval by the Malaysia Qualifications Agency (MQA) to deliver a new Engineering Foundation Year.
The new 3-semester course offered at the Malaysia Campus will provide the same world-leading education that is offered in the UK Campus. The course is designed to enhance the technical and academic skills essential for undergraduate study and is the preliminary year of studies, which then leads to a three year Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or a four year Master of Engineering ( MEng) degree programme.
The course begins in April 2015 and will include: Mathematics, Engineering Principles, Electricity and Electronics, Mechanical Science, Computer applications, English and Academic Skills.
During the Engineering Foundation Year, students will have the option to choose one of three highly ranked engineering programmes – MEng Aeronautics and Astronautics, MEng Electrical and Electronic Engineering or MEng Mechanical Engineering.
