There are two new Researchers’ Cafés planned for January and February. The first will be held on Wednesday 28 January at 12.00-13.30 on Boldrewood Campus, Burgess Rd. This event is being hosted by Lloyd’s Register in their building (B175), foyer café. It will feature two topics:
The Human Powered Submarine Project with Sarah Neenan, EngD student and Project Engineering Officer
Helping Reduce Household Energy Consumption with Dr Sharon Lin
The next Café will be on Friday 6 February 18:00 to 19:30 in Mettricks Tea and Coffee House, 117 High Street, SO14 2AA. The U1 and U6 buses stop near to Mettricks. Live music will follow at 20:00
This event will feature three topics:
Pregnancy, Identity and Philosophy with Dr Elselijn Kingma
Unravelling gravity 100 years after Einstein with Dr Marco Calderelli
What is Dementia? with Dr Ruth Bartlett
The Researchers’ Café is a new way to meet researchers to hear about and discuss their burning issues in an informal space. Come along for fun, to learn and stretch your grey matter! Attendees are free to drop-in, switch tables or leave at any time.
