We are pleased to announce Professor Vlatko Vedral as our first speaker in the Zepler Institute’s Quantum Science Distinguished Lecture Series. Professor Vedral will present ‘Probes of quantum behaviour in organic molecules’ Wednesday, 11 February at 17:00 in Building 2a (Music Annex) lecture theatre 2065, Highfield Campus.
Vlatko Vedral is a professor at both the University of Oxford and the National University of Singapore and is a world-famous expert in Quantum Information Theory. His research focuses on understanding the foundations of quantum mechanics and its implications in biological processes and thermodynamics.
He is also known for his popular-science interpretations of quantum physics, broadcasting for BBC Radio 4’s Material World and writing accessible books and articles about the fundamental implications of quantum information.
Whether you are an undergraduate, even in your first year, or a postgraduate, or if you simply have an interest in quantum science we welcome you to join us for this special event.
