Engagement Research seminar – Voluntary Sector Realities | Wednesday 11 March

Staff and students are invited to this seminar exploring the impact of funding and policy changes on the voluntary sector in Southampton; and implications for research engagement and collaborative activities. The event will take place on Wednesday 11 March 14:00 – 16:00 in Building 29, Room 2075, Highfield Campus.

The event will have guest speakers from Training for Work in Communities (TWICS), who have been operating in Southampton for 16 years as a community development training organisation. Over that time it has been at the centre of collaborations between the voluntary, community and statutory sectors. In recent years, seismic changes in funding and government policy have profoundly altered the local voluntary and community landscape.

Please register your attendance through our Eventbrite page.

This seminar is co-hosted by the Public Engagement with Research unit and the Third Sector Research Network. You can find more information about the event here.
