Staff and students are invited to this Ash Wednesday event at 13:11 on Wednesday 18 February, in the Chaplaincy, Highfield Campus.
The event will include a short open service and time of reflection to begin the season of Lent. The service which will be lead by the Chaplains, is ecumenical (appropriate for all denominations) and will include ashing.
This event will also mark the beginning of the Chaplaincy’s tinned food collection for the local Basics Bank, which will run until 27 March 2015.
You can put your tins in the bins at Student Union Shop and in the Chaplaincy.
