Staff and students are invited to join us for the next in our series of Quantum Science Distinguished Lectures. Professor Alexey Kavokin will present ‘The rise of bosonic lasers’ Wednesday, 18 February at 17:00 in Building 2a (Music Annex) lecture theatre 2065, Highfield Campus.
Prof Kavokin is Chair of Nanophysics and Photonics at the University. He is known for his theoretical works on the physics of exciton-polaritons, which paved the way for the realisation of the first Bosonic lasers, and has published over 200 research papers and two textbooks.
Afternoon tea will be served outside the lecture theatre from 16:30.
