Staff from Southampton Law School will join colleagues from the legal profession in the inaugural Southampton Legal Walk today, Monday 20 April.
The walk unites lawyers from around the region to promote access to justice. The need for free legal advice services has grown in recent years, at the same time as funding for the sector has reduced. Walking in support of the South West Legal Support Trust, those taking part hope to raise much needed funds to support access to justice for the most vulnerable through the provision of free legal advice.
The 10km walk starts at 17:30 outside Southampton Combined Court on London Road, and will take in many of the fine sights of our city. If you would like to show your support, please visit the team’s fundraising page.
