Join the University’s LGBT Network and Stonewall to learn about changes to Stonewall’s campaign efforts.
The organisation against the discrimination of LGBT people recently announced it will include trans people in future promotional material. Stonewall’s ‘No Bystanders’ campaign and the role of ‘straight allies’ in LGBT engagement are also on the agenda.
The open event is available to all staff on Thursday 30 April 12:00-14:00 in the Senate room (37/4049).
Attend to learn more about this initiative and other support offered by Stonewall, as well as meet Mandy McBain MBE (the University’s Client Account Manager at Stonewall) and other members.
Drinks and refreshments will be provided.
The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Trans (LGBT) Network brings together LGBT staff and postgrad students to socialise, for peer support and to discuss LGBT equality and inclusion at the University.
Stonewall was founded in 1989 by a small group of women and men who had been active in the struggle against Section 28 of the Local Government Act.
