Recruiting Student Ambassadors for University Open Days

New roles for Open Days Student Ambassadors are now available.

Ambassadors play an important part in presenting the University to potential students and their families. Over 10,000 visitors attend each Open Day, looking to learn about the University, find out what it offers and what have their questions answered.

2015 Open Days take place over two weekends prior to the start of the 2015/2016 term – Friday 3 July/Saturday 4 July and Saturday 5 September/Sunday 6 September.

Student Ambassador

Students can choose to participate in one or four days and depending on the task will be working from 07:30-16:30 or 08:00-17:00.

Tasks are varied and include:

  • Setting up stands and resources
  • Providing directions and information at any of the campuses
  • Giving tours
  • Staffing Information Points
  • Assisting at talks and presentations

Students who are enthusiastic and friendly with good communication skills are encouraged to apply by filling out an application by Monday 25 May. Places will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis.

Rate of pay is £7.25/hour (including holiday pay) and it is possible to have travel expenses covered up to £50.

Training is paid for providing you attend the day you sign up for. You must be available to attend one of the two training dates Thursday 25 June 12:00-14:00 or Tuesday 30 June 12:00-14:00.
