The Careers in Research Online Survey (CROS) is your chance to tell us about your experience of being a research staff member at the University of Southampton.
Research staff will receive an email from Bristol Online Survey (BOS) on 13 May, containing a link to the survey.
This national online survey runs every two years, enabling researchers from every university and research organisation to express their views.
Your responses are vital in helping us to understand what we are doing well and what we can do better to improve working conditions, career aspirations and career development opportunities for research staff at this University.
CROS is not just another survey, it has a significant impact on research staff across the UK and the results are integral to our implementation of the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers.
At a local level the results will be used in the creation of University-wide and local action plans to address the issues and concerns you raise.
They are also used to inform and influence decision making and monitor developments and initiatives relating to the employment, training and career development of research staff.
