Ten days remain in the My Journey Commuter Challenge 2015 and with your help, the University can race to the head of the leaderboard. Currently the University of Southampton is ranked 10th in the large employer category (sign-up to see the full rankings).
Commuter Challenge 2015 runs from May 1 to 31 and encourages Hampshire County to switch their regular commute instead for walking, cycling, car-sharing or public transport.
Adam Tewkesbury, Transport Manager for the University, said of the Challenge:
“The University works closely with My Journey through the delivery of our Travel Plan objectives, which seek to reduce our reliance on car use and encourage more travel by walking , cycling and public transport.”
Through journey planners, tips and the Solent Go card, My Journey provides local information on how to reduce travel carbon footprints.
