Over the three-day period, the group and volunteers will try and cycle the equivalent distance of Southampton to Kathmandu.  Eight sets of rollers  will allow riders to ride stationery bikes, constantly going by alternating riders with the intention of covering this massive distance. With music, lights, food and drink and least of all a big crowd, SURC hopes to keep everyone going through the nights.

The group is seeking volunteers who are willing to take up the task, asking that if you have an hour of time, you stop by the Redbrick concourse. Sign-up and choice of a timeslot is available here.

Oxfam’s Nepal Appeal is seeking to deliver aid and assistance to those affected by the earthquakes and after shocks that have affected the Himalayan region in recent weeks.
