The day gave students the opportunity to talk with graduate recruiters and find out more about their options post-graduation. The Career Destinations team were on hand to provide a CV clinic and advice for students, as well as a jobs board with current graduate vacancies.

Georgia Adsett, final year French and English student said

“The CV workshop at the recent Graduate Fair was particularly useful to pick up some crucial tips and Career Destinations reps were more than willing to answer any queries in lots of detail”

Recruiters present at the fair also had lots of positives to say with Lydia Block, PwC and University of Southampton Alumni, saying,

“We thought the fair was great and we saw lots of clued up students and will hopefully go some way to helping fill our vacancies in Southampton for both summer internships and grad roles this year”.

Ann Cooper, Employer Engagement Manager at Career Destinations said,

“The Graduate Recruitment Fair once again provided a fantastic opportunity for our students to engage with a broad range of employers, all of whom had graduate opportunities available. Many employers collected names of potential candidates for future employment.  Irrespective of which year group, our fairs are a great source of engagement with employers for any student.”
