The University’s roadshow team is travelling to some of the UK’s biggest events this summer to showcase a selection of our research.
In fact, the team is currently at the Cheltenham Science Festival until Sunday, 7 June before heading off to Glastonbury later this month.
The ‘Bringing Research to Life’ roadshow welcomes thousands of visitors regionally and nationally to meet our enthusiastic team of researchers, volunteer research-communicators and undergraduate Student Ambassadors. At Cheltenham alone this year, the roadshow is taking no fewer than 15 research teams.
Topics featured on the roadshow range from energy harvesting, intelligent and sustainable transport systems and human hearing to stem cell pinball and embedding sustainability in hairdressing.
In the weeks to come, the team has confirmed the following events and dates:
- Cheltenham Science Festival, 2-7 June
- Green Futures, Glastonbury Festival, 24-28 June
- Hat Fair, Oram’s Arbour, Winchester, 5 July
- Winchester Science Festival, 24-26 July
- Bournemouth Air Festival, 20-23 August
- If you’re travelling to any of these events, look out for the roadshow and please share your photos and experiences via the University’s social media channels. The roadshow team also has its own Facebook page and Twitter feed.
